Obituary for Susan E. Watkins

Millerton – Susan E. Watkins, 63, a five year resident of Millerton, NY, formerly of Sarasota, FL, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 18, 2016 at her home in Millerton. Ms. Watkins worked as an accountant for over twenty five years in the Sarasota area.

Born October 31, 1952 in Trieste, Italy, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Elizabeth J. (Schott) Birrell. Susan was a graduate of Prew High School in Sarasota. She was gifted seamstress and artist and enjoyed making jewelry in her spare time. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

Susan is survived by two children, Timothy Watkins and his wife Marion of Emmaus, PA and Kelly A. Barber of Millerton; two sisters, Linda Meunier of Wilmington, NY and Rebecca Florance and her husband Douglas of Poughquag, NY; three grandchildren, Hunter Watkins of Millerton and Abigail and Lillian Watkins of Emmaus, PA and her niece Stephanie Renee Murray of FL.

There are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel, NY.
