Obituary for Melanie Marie Cipriano (McEnroe)

Salt Point – Melanie Marie (McEnroe)Cipriano, 66, an eight year resident of Salt Point, NY formerly a longtime Amenia, NY resident died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at her home in Salt Point. Mrs. Cipriano was a homemaker for the last twenty years, prior to that she had worked as a therapy aide at the Wassaic Developmental Center in Wassaic, NY for ten years.

Born January 10, 1952 in Sharon, CT, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Esther M. (McKee) McEnroe. On December 24, 2001 in Stanfordville, NY she married Francis “Frank” Cipriano. Mr. Cipriano survives at home. Melanie enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren and was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Amenia.

In addition to her husband, Melanie is survived by three sons; Hans Cortsen II of Salt Point, Damian Cortsen of Millerton and Joseph Cipriano (Kim) of Salt Point; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hans III and Damian Cortsen and Alyssa and Elaina Cipriano; four brothers, Jack and Cindy McEnroe, Jerry and Rosemarie McEnroe, Michael and Connie McEnroe and Gregory McEnroe and Ann Brady all of Amenia, NY and several nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Melanie was predeceased by her brother Paul T. McEnroe.

There are no calling hours. Graveside services and burial will take place on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Route 22, Amenia, NY. Rev. R. Kent Wilson will officiate.
