Obituary for Matthew Greenberg
Lancaster City, PA – Matthew Greenberg, 51, a thirty five year resident of Lancaster, died unexpectedly on June 30, 2016 at his home in Lancaster City. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden and untimely passing. Matthew was the president of the PC LAN Company an information technology company and Greenberg Associates a consulting firm in Lancaster, PA.
Born June 14, 1965 in Cold Spring, NY, he was the son of the late Marvin Greenberg and Dorothy Anne Beeman. Matthew was a 1984 graduate of Manheim High School in Manheim, PA. He received an associate’s degree in Specialized Electronic Technology from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster in 1987.
He had a strong Christian faith and was kind, sensitive and fun-loving. Among his many talents and interests he could play a mean harmonica, was a magician and an avid bicyclist who enjoyed being physically fit. He held a student pilots license and had an extensive model airplane collection
Matthew is survived by nine sisters and brothers; Jan Greenberg (Kenneth Rosen) of Arlington, VA; Kim Greenberg-Jenkins of Searsmont, ME; David Greenberg (Kathleen) of Maynard, MA; Steven Greenberg of Cabool, MO; Suzanne Beeman of Albuquerque, NM, Robin Ann Greenberg of NM; Lorie Greenberg of Hallowell, ME; Melissa Mason (Gregory) of Rockland, ME; and Rebecca Greenberg (Paul Smith) of Augusta, ME; many cousins, nieces, and nephews and many friends.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 2pm at The Sharon United Methodist Church, 112 Upper Main Street, Sharon, CT 06069. Pastor Margaret A. Laemmel will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Sharon, CT. Arrangements are under the direction of the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12546.
