Obituary

Amenia – Marlena Mittel, 78, a twenty year resident of Amenia, NY formerly of Queens, NY died peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Mittel was a self-employed housekeeper in the local area for many years.

Born November 2, 1941 in Manhattan, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Rehl) Mittel. Ms. Mittel is survived by three sons; Patrick T. Whelan and his wife Kristine of Pleasant Valley, NY, Kenneth Whelan of Brooklyn, NY and Michael Whelan and his wife Rosetta of Center Moriches, NY, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and eight sisters. She was predeceased by four brothers.
