Millerton - Edward Henry Murphy, 65, a fourteen year resident of Millerton, NY formerly of Lagrangeville, NY died peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 with his loving family at his side. Ed was the owner and president of Tri County Auto Glass in Lagrangeville from 1983 to May 2018.

Born June 4, 1953 in Berlin, Germany, he was the son of the late Robert and Helga Murphy. Ed was a graduate of Millbrook High School. On June 4, 1977 in Mahopac, NY he married Deborah L. Coelho. Mrs. Murphy survives at home.

Ed enjoyed gardening, reading, kayaking on local area lakes, biking and sailing on the Hudson River. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his home on Nantucket for over seventeen years.
In addition to his wife of 41 years, Ed is survived by two children; Christopher Murphy and his wife Stephanie of Maricopa, AZ and Erin Miller and her husband Dennis of Copake Lake, NY and five grandchildren; John, Kaiya, Max and Sebastian Murphy and Gretchen Miller.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12546. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10am at Church of St. John in the Wilderness, 261 Route 344, Copake Falls, NY 12517. Rev. Walt Zelley will officiate. Burial will follow at Irondale Cemetery, Millerton, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Assoc., Millerton Library or the Millerton Fire Company.
