Obituary for Clara M. Hosier-Rockefeller

Millerton – Clara M. Hosier-Rockefeller, 85, a sixty year resident of Millerton, NY died peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT. Clara retired from the housekeeping department at Sharon Hospital after many years of dedicated service.

Clara was born April 1, 1931 in East Granby, CT, where she also attended and graduated local area schools. On July 2, 1955 in Lakeville, CT she married Cecil D. Hosier. Together they shared over forty years of marriage. Mr. Hosier died December 6, 1995. On September 6, 2004 she married Ralph J. Rockefeller. Mr. Rockefeller survives in Millerton.

In addition to her loving husband, Clara is also survived by five children, Brian(Tina)Hosier of Amenia, NY, Jeffrey (Cathy)Hosier of Laughlin, NV, Timothy(Noelle)Hosier of East Egremont, MA, Linda Willis-Barnhart of Delhi, NY and Steven King of Wassaic, NY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her first husband Clara was also predeceased by her brother.

There are no calling hours. Graveside services and burial will take place on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 10am at Evergreen Cemetery, North Main Street, Pine Plains, NY. Reverend Kent Wilson will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12564.
