Philmont- Miriam L. Duprey, 63, a longtime area resident died Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Miriam was the longtime business manager and owner of JCD Transport a local trucking company. She also worked as a veterinary assistant.

Born March 2, 1960 in Lake Charles, Louisiana she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Marlene (Seelig) Call. She loved puzzles and games and was an avid cat and dog lover of which she had many throughout her life. In her spare time she enjoyed walking on the Rail Trail. She will be dearly missed by her loving family.

Miriam is survived by three children, Timothy Call and his wife Ariel of Stottville, NY, Glen Burdick and his companion Margaret of Ancram, NY and David Burdick and his wife Lora of Craryville, NY; three brothers, David Call, Charles E. Call and George Call; three sisters, Sandy Hurlburt, Donna Dotterer and Bonnie McArthur; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and many friends.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 12pm -2pm at the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12546. A funeral service will be held at 2pm at the funeral home. Pastor Royce Noblin will officiate. Burial will follow at Irondale Cemetery in Millerton.
