Obituary for Ellen Marie Savickas
Millerton – Ellen Marie Savickas, 78, a seventeen year resident of Millerton, NY formerly of Middlebury, CT died Friday, April 19, 2019 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT. Mrs. Savickas owned and operated an antique shop in Patterson, NY for many years prior to her retirement.
Born August 19, 1940 in Kvinesdal, Norway she was the daughter of the late Edvard A. Elde and Magda S. Carlsen. On July 6, 1982 in Southington, CT she married James Remy Savickas. Mr. Savickas survives at home.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Savickas is survived her five children: Sine, Amy, Frank, Vincent and Dominick and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A cremation took place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 9:30am at Mrs. Savickas request.
