Obituary for Ella Lucy Murnane

Millerton - Ella Lucy Murnane, 79, a fifty two year resident of Millerton, NY died peacefully on Friday, August 4, 2017 at her home in Millerton with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Murnane worked for Dr. Zinny in Millerton and for Bonnie Hundt Salon in Millerton for many years.

Born December 22, 1937 in Mahopac, NY she was the youngest daughter of the late George Frank and Irma Hunt Baisley. Ella grew up on Twin Elm Farm, a farm her family owned and operated for many years. Following her graduation from high school and after her children were grown she attended cosmetology school in 1978. On April 27, 1955 in Peekskill, NY she married Fredrick T. Murnane. Mr. Murnane died December 30, 2009. Ella loved spending time with her family, enjoyed painting and doing needle work and quilting. She was an avid golfer and gardener and had a great affection for nature and was well known for throwing a great party. Ella was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Millerton. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and her many friends.

Ella is survived by her seven children, Bernadette Coniglio, Monica Sprague, Shelia Miller, Fredrick Murnane, Michael Murnane, Gloria Murnane, and Keiven Murnane; twenty grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; a sister, Frances Engongoro and several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Hilda Winter, Gloria Puccella and Alice McGuigan.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 3-7pm at the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY. Funeral services will follow at 7pm at the funeral home. Rev.
