Obituary for Catherine Mae Millius

Pine Plains – Catherine Mae Millius, 76, a longtime resident of Pine Plains, NY most recently of Millerton, NY died peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center in Poughkeepie, NY.

Born December 5, 1941 in Sharon, CT she was the daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy (Way) Chapman. Catherine attended schools locally and married Millard Millius on May 5, 1956. Mr. Millius died on August 4, 2009. Catherine enjoyed gardening, knitting, shopping, taking long walks and spending time with her loving family. She was a longtime elder and member of the Pine Plains United Methodist Church as well.

Catherine is survived by four children; John Millius and his wife Jackie of Wappingers Falls,NY, Mary Millius of Hyde Park, NY, Susan Millius of Germantown, NY and James Millius and his wife Kelli of Pine Plains, NY; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jayson, Casandra, Jessie, Amy, Aaron and Rebecca Millius; two great grandchildren, Donavin Millius and Jenilee Millius-Chapman and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 12-2pm at the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, 37 Park Avenue, Millerton, NY 12546. Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home. Pastor Greg Higgins will officiate. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains.
