Scott D. Conklin
Scott has been a licensed Funeral Director for nearly 28 years. A native of Dover Plains, New York he attended Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York and received his A.A.S in Mortuary Science in 1995. Serving his apprenticeship at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry, New York, Scott also worked as a licensed Funeral Director for Margaret A.P. Caven at the Parmele Funeral Home in Poughkeepsie, New York prior to returning to Dover Plains in 1997. Scott was associated with the Hufcut Funeral Home in Dover Plains, both part time and full time from 1993 to 2012.
Scott is actively involved in many organizations and is a 33 year active life member of the J.H. Ketcham Hose Company and Rescue Squad since 1991. Scott has served as the recording officer for the department for the past 17 years. Scott was honored with Honorary Membership status with the Millerton Fire Company in 2013 and currently serves as Company Chaplain. Scott is also a member of the Chestnut Ridge Rod & Gun Club, the Dutchess-Putnam-Ulster Funeral Directors Association and the New York State Funeral Directors Association and the Millerton Business Alliance. He is a past director of the Dutchess County Volunteer Firemen’s Association and a nearly 29 year member of the Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemen’s Association. In 2002, Scott received the President’s Award for outstanding service to the J.H. Ketcham Hose Company and in March of 2012 Scott received a departmental commendation for life saving actions, in 2021 he received the John A. Hanna award for exemplary service and volunteerism from the fire department. Scott lives in Dover Plains with his wife Robin, a confidential secretary and registrar to the office of Curriculum and Staff Development at Dover Union Free School District and IT Manager at the Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home, they have two sons; Tyler Joseph and Colton Douglas.
Brock P. Race
Brock has been a funeral director assistant for over 12 years. Brock works full time in the emergency services, with special expertise in dispatch technologies which requires him to travel extensively throughout the United States.
Lawrence D. Harrison
Larry has been with the funeral home since 2020. He serves as our greeter during visitations and as a funeral assistant. Larry is a retired staff supervisor having worked at Taconic DDSO in Wassaic, NY.
Jon-Paul Aubry
J.P. has worked at the funeral home since 2012. He serves as a funeral assistant and "Mr. Fix-it" when needed. J.P. is a full time firefighter with FDNY. He also is the current (2024) District Fire Chief of J.H. Ketcham Hose. Co, Inc.
Kevin Hanyak
Kevin is our fleet manager and a funeral assistant. He is often seen driving the hearse or assisting as a casket bearer. Kevin is also an accomplished organist.
Robert Hanyak
Bob is Kevin Hanyak's father. He too is often seen driving the hearse or limousine or greeting guests at the front door.
