Welcome

Welcome to our website, please feel free to navigate around. We have Pre-Planning and funeral information for the families and the communities we serve. Below is a brief story of how it all began following 134 years of dedicated service provided by the  Valentine Funeral Home and the Valentine family. (1875-2011).

Scott D. Conklin Funeral Home was founded by Scott Conklin and his wife Robin on January 1, 2012 following a long career as a local Funeral Director in the Harlem Valley. After successfully completing all required course work and state and national examinations for licensure in 1995, Scott began serving the residents of Eastern Dutchess County, Litchfield County and beyond. He served his apprenticeship at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry and worked for Parmele Funeral Home in Poughkeepsie. Scott’s funeral service career however started in his home town of Dover Plains, serving as a Funeral Director with the Hufcut Funeral Home for over 18 years. On January 1, 2012 he began serving the residents of the Tri-Corner area. The funeral home operates at 37 Park Avenue in the Village of Millerton, NY. We are here to assist families with all aspects of end of life care. We offer Tradition Funeral Services, which include burial or cremation disposition, Memorial Services, Cremation, as well as Pre-Need Trusts which include Revocable and Irrevocable (Medicaid) Trusts for New York and Connecticut (Title 19) residents.
